I am Fahad Joman — a PhD Candidate in MRI Physics at the University of Nottingham (Jan 2026 – 2030), conducting advanced research in MRI-based neuroimaging with a focus on epilepsy and brain tumour imaging. My work sits at the intersection of medical physics, neuroscience, and advanced MRI methodology.

Current Research Home
Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre (SPMIC)
A world-class interdisciplinary facility at the University of Nottingham — named after the Nobel Prize-winning physicist who pioneered MRI. Home to high-field scanners, MEG, hyperpolariser systems (xenon & krypton), and an 11.7 Tesla ultra-high-field MRI hall under construction — set to be one of the most powerful MRI research facilities in the UK.

I hold an MSc in Neuroimaging (Distinction) from Bangor University, Wales — thesis: measuring CMRO₂ under hypoxia using QSM and ASL/fMRI. I also hold a BSc in Radiologic Technology from Al-Ghad International Colleges, Medina. I bring over 4+ years as Senior MRI Specialist with the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, and am a member of the Supercomputing Wales HPC consortium (Project SCW1708).

In parallel, I am an experienced software developer — building research pipelines and healthcare applications in Python, MATLAB, PHP, and JavaScript. I am also Founder & CEO of PSM design & web company (est. 2010) and hold a Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO) certification.
